A Little About Me
I was born and raised in Alberta, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to homes. Not just how they look, but how people live in them.
At a certain point, I started to see that owning a home isn’t always as straightforward as people expect.
Earlier in my life, my family and I purchased a home while we were traditionally employed. Not long after, we became self-employed and built our own business.
When it came time to move, we ran into something frustrating. Even though our income was strong, we couldn’t qualify for a new mortgage because it couldn’t be verified in the traditional way.
Later, after going through a divorce, I found myself in a similar position again. I was no longer living in my marital home, but my name was still tied to that mortgage.
Even though I was financially capable of managing a home on my own, I couldn’t qualify for a new mortgage because of that existing obligation.
Those experiences gave me a very real understanding of how frustrating the system can feel when you know you’re capable, but it’s just not working in your favor.
They also showed me that there are structured, responsible ways to move forward, even when the traditional path isn’t available.
Today, my work centers around helping people navigate those situations in a thoughtful and structured way.
What matters most to me isn’t just the transaction itself. It’s helping people move into homes where their lives actually happen… where their kids grow up, where routines are built, and where there’s a sense of stability and ownership.
Because at the end of the day, a home is never just a house.
It’s where your life actually happens.
